VESSEL DESCRIPTION

The 1997 Island Packet 40 is known for its robust construction, comfortable cruising capabilities, and classic design. Designed by renowned naval architect Bob Johnson, it features a cutter rig and full keel design, providing stability and tracking ability in various sea conditions.

ARCTIC TERN is a proven bluewater cruiser, having recently completed a voyage to French Polynesia and back to Hawaii.  She's been meticulously cared for and manicured to be a self sufficient offshore yacht.  There have been several recent upgrades including a brand new Yanmar 4JH5E 54 hp diesel with less than 260 hrs.

Below deck there are two cabins and two heads. The saloon can also sleep two and feels like that of a much larger boat due to the table that folds up and locks onto the forward bulkhead. The master cabin is forward and has a queen berth and its own head with access to the chain locker.  The aft cabin has a double berth and access to a second head that is also accessible from the saloon.

The Island Packet 40 is one of the most ideal cruising sailboats ever built. Her classic design, quality construction, comfortable accommodations, shallow draft, and cutter rig result in a bluewater vessel that is easy for a couple to safely handle in all conditions. Arctic Tern is ready for her next adventure.
