Accomodations

The layout of the Catalina 36 offers a private cabin forward with a comfortable v-berth, double hanging locker (cedar lined), a vanity mirror with storage cabinet & plenty of storage beneath the berth.

The head is located just aft to port. The head is very spacious and features a molded sink, hot & cold pressurized water, full curtain enclosed shower complete with a seat for comfort. The manual marine head is plumbed to a holding tank that may be evacuated via a deck fitting or when out at sea, via an electric macerator pump.

Across from the head to starboard there is a large storage cabinet including four drawers that was designed to accomodate a television and DVD/VCR with storage for DVDs/Videos beneath.

The main salon offers plenty of room to freely move about due to an attractive bulkhead table that can be stowed, utilized for dining or converted to a comfortable double berth. Opposite to starboard there is a unique “gameing” table that would work just as well for a couple to enjoy a candle lit dinner. A clever bonus to this arrangement is that the table can be converted to a full sized settee.

The nav station is located just aft of the settee to starboard. The nav station features a full sized chart desk with storage beneath as well as easy access to the AC/DC distribution panel.

The large, open galley is located opposite the nav station and includes double stainless steel sinks, hot & cold pressurized water, Adler-Barbour 12V DC Refrigeration and ample storage throughout.

The aft cabin has a queen size berth, hanging locker, outboard shelf, and large opening hatch for plenty of ambient light and ventilation.

Galley

The galley boasts a user-friendly “U-Shaped” configuration
that offers exceptional storage (see photo)
and plenty of work space for meal preparation and cooking.

This layout offers an uncluttered, open area to work without
being excluded “from the party”.
