Notable features of the deck are the walk through transom, the stern boarding platform and the easy access forward on the wide unobstructed side decks.
Roomy cockpits are a Catalina hallmark. The sail controls, including the single line reefing system, are all lead to the security of the cockpit and are operable in the security of the dodger.
The rig is mast head with swept back spreaders.
The interior is functional and comfortable. The galley and head are aft for convenience to the cockpit. The headroom is generous and the berths are extra long, uncommon, but welcome features in a 28 footer.
